Helen Agnes Rapp, a longtime parishioner of St. Pius X, died June 10 in her Portland home.
Mrs. Rapp was born Oct. 8, 1940, in Detroit Lakes, Michigan, to Harvey and Rose Rushfeldt. She moved to the Los Angeles area along with her parents and siblings, Mary, Harvey, Margaret and Paul. In early 1966, Mrs. Rapp moved to the Portland area, where she met Larry Rapp. The couple married later that year and raised two children.
From the late 1960s Mrs. Rapp was active at St. Pius X. She loved volunteering at the church and had many friends there.
Her creative side was reflected through various art and sewing projects. She enjoyed creating things that would bring joy to others.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Rapp; her children, Tamera Oskierko (Steven) and Larry Rapp (Michelle), and five grandchildren, Adakin, Vincent, and Jared Oskierko, and Everson and Emerie Rapp.
In lieu of flowers, the family believes Mrs. Rapp would like to have people do a random act of kindness to someone else.
